
…Movement urges Nigerians to renew commitment to unity, peace and good governance as new month begins

In a statement jointly signed by the Director-General of the Movement, Hon. Kingsley Ezinwa, and the Media Director, Hon. Comr. Obinna Okpara, the group congratulated Nigerians on the anniversary and the commencement of a new month, while acknowledging the resilience of citizens in the face of the country’s challenges.
The Movement said Nigeria’s journey since independence underscores the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence, responsible citizenship and accountable leadership in building a stronger nation.
It stressed that sustainable development must remain anchored on good governance, transparency, equity and policies that respond to the needs and aspirations of the people.
The Ije Awele Movement also commended the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his administration’s efforts in infrastructure renewal, economic development and other areas of governance across the state.
According to the Movement, the progress recorded in any society is sustained when government and citizens work together, with public institutions remaining accountable and citizens contributing positively to the development of their communities.
The Movement urged Ndi Enugu to approach the new month with renewed hope and a shared commitment to peace, productivity and responsible participation in the affairs of the state and nation.
It called on Ndi Enugu and Nigerians everywhere to remain committed to the ideals of justice, equity, fairness, unity and peaceful coexistence, noting that Independence Day should not only be a celebration of the country’s past but also a reminder of the collective responsibility to shape a better future.
The Movement expressed confidence in the potential of Enugu State and Nigeria, encouraging citizens to continue supporting initiatives that promote good governance, economic opportunity and sustainable development.
The Ije Awele Movement wished Ndi Enugu and Nigerians at home and abroad a peaceful Independence Anniversary and a prosperous new month, praying for continued peace, progress and development across the state and the country.
