Ogbuekwe said the partnership would provide an opportunity for Nkanu East to support initiatives aimed at improving access to quality education and creating greater opportunities for young people, particularly girls.
According to the Chairman, discussions around the partnership are focused on identifying practical interventions that can bring out-of-school children back into the classroom, provide essential learning materials and support indigent students in accessing education.
He added that the collaboration would also promote positive social norms and expand digital literacy opportunities for young people across the Local Government Area.
Ogbuekwe stressed that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and realise their full potential, assuring that his administration would continue to pursue meaningful partnerships that strengthen education, promote inclusion and advance human capital development in Nkanu East.
He said: “Our children deserve every opportunity to learn, grow and realise their full potential. As a Local Government, we will continue to pursue meaningful partnerships that strengthen education, promote inclusion and advance human capital development across Nkanu East.”
The Nkanu East Council Chairman also expressed his appreciation to Dr. Ebele Georgina Chukwu Onuora, State Project Coordinator, AGILE Enugu State, and the entire AGILE team for the partnership and their commitment to improving educational opportunities for the people of Nkanu East.
He described the collaboration as an important investment in the future of children and young people in the Local Government Area.
“Thank you for this partnership. Together, we are investing in a brighter future for our children,” Ogbuekwe said.
The partnership is expected to complement existing efforts toward improving educational access, supporting vulnerable learners, promoting girl-child education and equipping young people with relevant skills for the future.
