The association serves as a unified platform for hoteliers, restaurateurs, fast-food operators, bar owners, lounge operators, caterers, hospitality consultants, and food and beverage suppliers, fostering collaboration, professional development, and the protection of members’ business interests.

Its state secretariat is situated at City Light Villa & Suite, No. 10 Nwodo Street, GRA, Enugu. The chapter operates under the national association, led by its National President and Founder, Chief Mgboh Mike (JP).
ATHFBON Enugu maintains strategic working relationships with relevant government agencies and regulatory institutions, including the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), and the Enugu State Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
As part of its mandate, the association undertakes the registration and certification of hospitality operators, advocates for favourable policies and business conditions, and organises quarterly capacity-building programmes on food safety, hygiene, customer service, and hospitality management.
It also facilitates access to government interventions, business support opportunities, and professional networks while promoting indigenous cuisine, Enugu culture, and tourism through food festivals, hospitality summits, exhibitions, and awards.
The association said its vision is to build a united, professionally driven, and world-class hospitality industry that creates employment, stimulates tourism, and contributes meaningfully to the economic growth and development of Enugu State.
It is equally committed to positioning Enugu as a leading hospitality and tourism destination in the Southeast, providing operators with a common platform to address industry challenges, explore opportunities, and advance collective interests.
The Enugu State Chapter is chaired by Hon. Comrd. Udeh Gilbert, with Uche Decency serving as secretary. The Fundraising Committee is headed by Ajibo Nathaniel, while Mrs. Nneka Obiechina serves as its secretary.
Among the chapter’s flagship programmes for 2026 is the proposed official flag-off and inauguration of the maiden Enugu Hospitality Summit, Food Festival and Awards, an initiative expected to provide a platform for industry networking, investment promotion, recognition of excellence, and the celebration of the state’s rich culinary and cultural heritage.
With its motto, “Unity, Protection & Promotion of Hospitality Business,” ATHFBON Enugu Chapter is reaffirming its commitment to building a stronger, more organised, and sustainable hospitality sector through unity, advocacy, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
