The 23-year-old beauty queen, who represented Taraba State, demonstrated resilience, brilliance, and elegance, exemplifying the Nigerian spirit. Born in South Africa to a Nigerian father, Chidimma’s journey to the top was not without challenges, as she faced significant online harassment and bullying rooted in her Nigerian heritage.

The House of Representatives congratulated Chidimma on her outstanding achievement, praising her tenacity and grace. Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu stated, “Her inspiring story, marked by perseverance and grace, will undoubtedly serve as a beacon of hope and motivation for generations to come.” He commended the Silverbird Group and everyone who contributed to her success.

Chidimma’s impressive feat has made Nigeria proud, and she will continue to inspire others as a role model on the global stage. She was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, taking over the crown from Mitchel Ihezue, and received a reward of ₦10 million in cash along with other prizes. Her achievement is a testament to her poise under pressure, eloquence in representing the aspirations of young girls, and passionate advocacy for hope and empowerment.
