The footage captures chaos within the church as members remove and break a photo of Roland Olumba Obu from the church wall. This dramatic turn of events follows a reported power struggle within the organization.
According to a Facebook post by DaZion Umoh, the rejection stems from Roland’s alleged lack of interest in the church until his father’s passing. Additionally, Umoh claims that Roland’s new wife seeks to impose her own son as successor instead of Prince Roland Obu, Roland’s authentic first son.
The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, founded by Olumba Olumba Obu, has been divided since the late leader’s daughter contested the temple with Roland. Members now question Roland’s divine authority, once believed to be inherent.
