The ban, which is aimed at reducing crime and improving safety in the metropolis, is a crucial step towards maintaining law and order in the state. While accredited and licensed courier services are exempt from this ban, all other motorcyclists are expected to comply with the directive.

As the Yuletide season approaches, the Ministry of Transport has observed an increasing number of motorcyclists defying this regulation. This disregard for the law is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Defaulters will be penalized accordingly, and the Ministry urges all Okada riders to comply with this directive to avoid punitive actions.

To ensure effective enforcement of the ban, the Ministry of Transport is calling on members of the public to report any sightings of banned Okada riders to the Ministry through the following channels:

  • Phone: 0901 848 2263
  • Email: transport@enugustate.gov.ng
  • In Person: Visit the Ministry of Transport headquarters at 5 F.S.P Avenue, Independence Layout, Enugu.

The Ministry of Transport is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents and visitors in Enugu State. The cooperation and support of the general public are essential in achieving this goal.

Let’s work together to maintain a safe, orderly, and peaceful metropolis.

Enugu State Ministry of Transport
