AFCON 2025 draw: All six groups confirmed [Full list]

The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) was held on Monday, revealing the six groups that will compete in the tournament. Scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, the AFCON 2025 will feature 24 countries vying for the top spot.

All but two of the 52 Confederation of African Football (CAF) member associations participated in the qualifying series. Following the preliminary round, 48 teams were divided into 12 groups of four, playing home and away in a total of six matches. The top two teams from each group qualified for the tournament.

The AFCON 2025 groups are as follows:

Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
Group F: Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique

The tournament will take place in six cities over four weeks, with the ultimate goal of crowning the kings of Africa. With the groups now set, fans and teams alike can begin preparing for the exciting matches ahead.
