According to sources, the council has procured and delivered 12 new 500 KVA transformers to both indigenous and urban communities in the council area, with installation currently underway.
Additionally, the council plans to energize three more transformers for other communities and procure more for areas in need. This move is expected to boost electricity supply and improve the lives of residents in the area.
The council’s efforts align with the state government’s Disruptive Innovation initiative, which aims to drive progress and development in critical sectors.
Speaking on the development, a resident of Enugu East Local Government Area, who preferred anonymity, commended the council for its efforts. “We are grateful for the new transformers. It’s a welcome development, and we hope it will improve our electricity supply,” the resident said.
