Uchenna Joseph Okolo, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, has demonstrated his commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure by conducting a comprehensive inspection of access roads leading to the Smart Green Schools within the LGA.
During the inspection, Hon. Okolo assessed the state of the schools and road conditions, taking precise measurements to inform plans for grading and asphalting. This initiative aligns with the commitment of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, to improving educational infrastructure and accessibility.
The Chairman commended Governor Peter Mbah’s visionary leadership in initiating the construction of over 260 Smart Green Schools across Enugu State. He acknowledged the significance of this project in revitalizing basic education in the Awgu Local Government Area and expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his efforts.
Hon. Okolo also emphasized the importance of improved road infrastructure in facilitating safe and efficient transportation for students and educators. The road enhancement project, when completed, is expected to have a positive impact on education and local development in Awgu.
Furthermore, Hon. Okolo urged residents to actively monitor the project’s progress to ensure timely and quality completion. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, focusing on human empowerment and infrastructure growth.
