FULL LIST: FG APPROVES N452BN FOR 14 ROADS

The Federal Government has approved a total sum of N452 billion for the construction and rehabilitation of 14 major roads across the country.

The approval was granted during the 23rd Federal Executive Council meeting held at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday.

The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, disclosed this while briefing journalists after the meeting. According to Umahi, the projects are part of the Renewed Hope Administration’s comprehensive infrastructure initiative aimed at improving nationwide connectivity.

Umahi explained that the approved projects span several states and will be executed by various contractors. He assured that the funding will be used to expedite the completion of the projects and improve road infrastructure across the country.

Some of the approved projects include:

– Agaie-Katcha-Baro Road in Niger State, awarded to Messrs GR Building Construction Limited at a cost of N22 billion

– Rehabilitation of Odukpani Junction and the central section of the Calabar–Ikom–Ogoja Road in Cross River State, awarded to Samatech at a cost of N26.335 billion

– Ajaokuta-Ajibo/Iyana-Mosa Road in Ogun State, awarded at a cost of N10.89 billion

– Inoma-Iyaka-Abaji section of the Ibaji-Odulu-Ajibu Road in Anambra State, awarded at a cost of N9.33 billion

– Umuahia Ituano-Ikot Ekpene Road, awarded to Messers Heartland Reckon Construction Company at a cost of N14.37 billion

The approval of these projects is expected to boost economic activities and improve the lives of Nigerians.
