In a remarkable display of leadership and bravery, General Abubakar Aliyu, a senior officer in the Nigerian Army, successfully completed a parachute jump from a moving plane at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna yesterday.

The jump, which was part of a training exercise, marked a historic milestone for the Nigerian Army.
General Aliyu’s achievement is all the more impressive given that he is only the second General in the Nigerian Army to complete a parachute jump. The first was former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. KTJ Minimah, who achieved the feat while serving as Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Infantry.
Speaking to reporters after the jump, General Aliyu said, “For the cadets who jumped alongside me, this experience will be unforgettable, instilling confidence, courage, and a deep understanding of true leadership.”
