
The suspended governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed his concerns about the political situation in the state, stating that it is capable of causing depression.

Ibok-Ete Ibas, a retired naval chief, was appointed as the state’s sole administrator.
During a meeting with Muslim leaders at his private residence in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized the importance of patience and peacefulness. He urged the people not to allow provocation, as those behind the situation aim to destroy the state and deny its residents their means of livelihood.
Fubara reiterated his vision for a society where no one is oppressed and called for continued respect for constituted authority. He expressed optimism that the state will emerge stronger from the current challenges.
