In a move to enhance administrative capacity, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, assigned key portfolios to five newly inaugurated supervisors today, April 3, 2025.

The newly appointed supervisors and their assigned portfolios are:
- Health Sector: Hon. Kingsley Ogbonna
- Education, Youths, and Sports: Hon. David Nwali
- Agriculture: Hon. Godwin L. Egungwu
- Works and Infrastructure: Hon. Samuel Ngene
- Finance: Hon. Okafor Chigozie E.
Hon. Uchenna Okolo expressed confidence in the new team, stating that they will drive progress and development in the local government area.
The Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Nelson Uduji, congratulated the new supervisors, looking forward to working with them to achieve their goals and make Awgu Local Government Area a model of excellence.
