According to Baba Ahmed, President Tinubu’s experience and strategic prowess in forming coalitions make him a formidable opponent. “Because President Tinubu is the master of coalition politics. He knows every step. If you say, ‘Oh, we’ll make a coalition against him,’ he already has the roadmap,” Baba Ahmed said.

Baba Ahmed noted that the new coalition lacks a leader with the same level of strategic thinking, resources, and vision as President Tinubu. Despite this, he expressed his support for the coalition, while also emphasizing the importance of the Labour Party as a viable political platform.

“The Labour Party is still a good platform and should not be ignored,” Baba Ahmed said. As the opposition parties navigate the complex landscape of Nigerian politics, they will need to develop a robust strategy to counter President Tinubu’s experience and resources if they hope to succeed in the 2027 elections.

The development of this new coalition and the views expressed by Baba Ahmed highlight the ongoing dynamics in Nigerian politics, as parties and leaders position themselves for the future.
