In a significant development, Mrs. Blessing Martha Phil-Eze has been appointed as the Registrar of the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State. The appointment, which was made by His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mba, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, is a clear recognition of Mrs. Phil-Eze’s exceptional leadership skills and administrative expertise.

The State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, is a relatively new institution that was established in 2022 after the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted a license to the Enugu State Government. Despite its nascent stage, SUMAS has already made significant strides in providing quality education and training in medical and applied sciences.
As Registrar, Mrs. Phil-Eze will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the university’s administrative functions, working closely with the Vice Chancellor, Professor James Chukwuma Ogbonna, and other members of the university’s management team.
