WOSCONET Commends Nwanjoku’s Grassroots Mobilization for Mbah’s Re-Election, Launches Voter Education Drive in Aninri

As momentum gathers towards the re-election bid of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, come 2027, the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, has publicly reaffirmed his commitment to the governor’s second-term ambition.

This declaration was made during a courtesy visit to his office by a prominent women-led group, the Women Support Women Community Network (WOSCONET).

In her remarks, the Vice President of WOSCONET, Mrs. Doris Agu, emphasized the group’s vision to complement government efforts in promoting women’s inclusion and active participation in governance. She highlighted their mission to ensure quality representation and to pursue broader global development objectives in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mrs. Agu further pledged the group’s commitment to forming a strategic partnership with the Nwanjoku-led administration in mobilizing and sensitizing voters across Aninri in support of Governor Mbah’s re-election. She acknowledged that the chairman’s unwavering support for the governor has become evident across various political and grassroots platforms, adding that the group sees the governor’s re-election as both achievable and timely.

Responding, Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku expressed confidence in Governor Mbah’s performance, particularly his efforts in ensuring women’s inclusion in governance. He noted that the governor’s inclusive leadership style has been replicated in Aninri, where several women have been appointed to strategic positions, including Hon. Princess Uju Ikpenwa, a member of WOSCONET, who currently serves as the Supervisor for Finance and Budget.

Nwanjoku warmly welcomed the women’s group to Aninri and assured them of his administration’s readiness to partner with and sponsor their activities, especially in voter education. He stressed the importance of educating the people on the developmental strides of Governor Mbah and the need to consolidate on the gains through his re-election, citing numerous signature projects being executed across the state.

“Let women always support women,” he remarked, in alignment with the group’s ethos.
