The month-long initiative, which commenced on August 1, 2025, was held in Mbu, Isi Uzo Local Government Area, and Emene, Enugu East Local Government Area. It came to a close on Sunday, August 31, with a colourful grand finale and certificate presentation ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Emene.

The closing event drew a large gathering of beneficiaries, family members, parishioners, and community leaders. It opened with prayers from the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Michael Ejiogu, and featured vibrant cultural dances, calisthenics, and breakdance performances. In a lighthearted moment, Prof. Paul Nnamchi joined participants on stage to the delight of the audience.

Speaking at the ceremony, programme facilitator, Engr. Daniel Igwe, said the training had a transformative impact, providing young people with practical computer knowledge and digital literacy. He encouraged participants to maximize the opportunity by applying their skills in education, business, and personal development.

In his remarks, Prof. Nnamchi commended the beneficiaries for their commitment throughout the training period. He reiterated his passion for youth empowerment and pledged to expand the initiative to reach more communities across the state.

“I remain committed to pursuing programmes that improve lives and prepare our youths for the opportunities of the digital age,” he stated.

Certificates of participation and educational materials were presented to all beneficiaries, while outstanding students were recognized with cash prizes and additional resources.

Observers noted that the training has significantly boosted digital literacy in Enugu East and Isi Uzo, positioning young people for better access to education, employment, and innovation opportunities in an increasingly digital-driven world.
