Enugu State Begins Digital Land Transformation with Title Recertification and Estate Unbundling

The Enugu State Government has commenced a major reform in its land administration system with the launch of a Land Title Recertification, Revalidation, and Estate Unbundling exercise, under the Digital Land Transformation Programme.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Enugu State Geographic Information System Service (ENGIS), is designed to guarantee land title certainty, eliminate disputes, and strengthen investor confidence by deploying a digitally secure and tamper-proof land titling system across the State.

According to ENGIS, the programme aligns with Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s vision of creating a transparent, modern, and investor-friendly Enugu State.

Exercise Timeline

Start Date: September 1, 2025

End Date: December 31, 2025

Service Locations

The exercise will run simultaneously at the following designated centres:

1. ENGIS Headquarters, 4 Chisimoi Ukpaka Close, Ebeano Estate (beside Spring of Life Int’l Schools), Enugu

2. Enugu North Local Government Headquarters, Old Park, Enugu

3. Enugu South Local Government Headquarters, Uwani, Enugu

4. Enugu East Local Government Headquarters, Nkwo Nike, Nike

5. Enugu State Housing Development Corporation, No. 21 Kingsway Road, GRA, Enugu

6. Adada Hall, Nsukka Local Government Area, GRA, Nsukka

All landowners and stakeholders are required to visit the nearest location for their title recertification, revalidation, estate unbundling, and other property documentation to secure their Digital Land Identity and safeguard property rights.
