
Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has expressed delight at hosting Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, OON, in his office, where discussions focused on a proposed football scouting project for Enugu and the South East region. According to the statement, Omeruo was accompanied on the visit by the General Manager of Rangers International FC, Amobi Ezeaku, Esq., who joined him in briefing the governor on the objectives of the initiative. The project, they explained, is designed to discover and nurture young football talents across the state and the wider South East, providing them with opportunities to grow and showcase their skills.

Speaking during the visit, Omeruo commended the state government’s efforts in sports development and hailed the progress made at Rangers International FC, which he described as a symbol of growth and pride for the people of Enugu.

In his remarks, Gov. Mbah lauded the Super Eagles star for his vision and dedication to grassroots football development. He assured Omeruo of the full backing of the Enugu State Government in ensuring the success of the project.

“As a government, we remain committed to advancing grassroots sports and strengthening Rangers International FC as a symbol of pride for Enugu and Nigeria,” Governor Mbah stated.
He added that the meeting was fruitful and expressed optimism that the initiative would flourish, creating opportunities for young talents and contributing significantly to the future of football in Enugu and beyond.
