In a congratulatory message issued following the declaration of the election results, Senator Ngwu stated that Asogwa’s emergence as Senator-Elect reflects the electorate’s belief in his capacity to provide effective representation, champion the interests of the people, and contribute meaningfully to legislative governance at the National Assembly.
The lawmaker noted that the overwhelming support received by the Senator-Elect at the polls underscores his longstanding commitment to public service, leadership, and grassroots development. He said the victory demonstrates the trust and confidence the people have in Asogwa’s leadership, experience, and dedication to the progress and welfare of the people of Enugu North Senatorial District.
Senator Ngwu expressed confidence that the Senator-Elect would provide purposeful and impactful representation capable of advancing the socio-economic aspirations of the district while creating greater opportunities for growth and development.
The senator also commended the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for what he described as visionary and transformational leadership. He noted that the administration’s commitment to good governance, infrastructural renewal, economic expansion, and improved public service delivery continues to inspire confidence among the people of the state.
According to him, Governor Mbah’s development-driven agenda has accelerated progress across critical sectors, strengthened public trust in government, and reinforced the collective aspiration for a more prosperous and globally competitive Enugu State.
Senator Ngwu further observed that the outcome of the bye-election reflects the confidence of the people in the leadership direction of Governor Mbah, whose administration remains focused on delivering tangible dividends of democracy and promoting sustainable development across the state.
