Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s commitment to building a digitally empowered workforce in Enugu State continues to gain traction as Hon. Dr. Obi Ozor, Honourable Commissioner for Transport, throws his full support behind the state’s youth empowerment drive by sponsoring a cohort of talented youths from Abor, Udi Local Government Area, to participate in the Enugu SME–Turing Tech Training Programme.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The initiative, known as Project Turing, is a partnership between the Enugu SME Center/Office of Digital Economy and Turing Tech, designed to equip young people with world-class technology skills and link them to global outsourcing opportunities. Each participant’s training, mentorship, and placement—valued at ₦1.2 million per individual—is fully covered under this sponsorship, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to transformative digital education.
Participants in the programme will receive intensive mentorship from international tech professionals and job placement support through Turing Tech’s global outsourcing network.
This strategic intervention by Dr. Ozor aligns with Governor Mbah’s vision of transforming Enugu into a digitally driven, innovation-led economy, where young people are empowered to compete and thrive on a global stage. Plans are already underway to scale the programme to reach even more participants, reinforcing the administration’s unwavering focus on human capital development and digital transformation as the cornerstone of Enugu State’s economic renewal.
