The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdulrahman Mohammed, has announced the cancellation of the party’s proposed national convention earlier scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Mohammed made the announcement on Wednesday while addressing journalists in Abuja alongside the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and some members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
He explained that the decision followed the receipt of the Certified True Copy (CTC) of a recent judgment delivered by Justice Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/2120/2025.
According to him, the party’s National Legal Adviser, Ajibade K.A. (SAN), had reviewed the judgment and provided a detailed legal interpretation of its implications.
Consequently, Mohammed disclosed that the PDP had filed an appeal at the Court of Appeal to seek further clarification on the matter
