In an emotional video shared on Instagram, the actress passionately defended her mother, describing her as a pillar of strength and the foundation of her life. Regina appealed for empathy and respect, saying her mother should not be made a target in matters concerning her marriage.

The family’s private issues became public in October after a viral video showed Regina in tears, accusing Nwoko of domestic violence. The clip sparked widespread concern and prompted intense speculation about the state of their relationship.

Nwoko later denied the allegations, claiming Regina was facing personal challenges related to drug and alcohol use — a statement that further deepened the rift between the couple and fueled public debate.

The feud took another turn this week when Regina accused Nwoko of being behind the arrest of her brothers. In reaction, her mother, Rita Daniels, released a video accusing the senator of ingratitude, recalling the family’s support during his political journey. She alleged that Regina once contributed $50,000 to Nwoko’s campaign and rejected online claims labeling her daughter a “gold digger,” insisting that Regina had significantly contributed to her husband’s rise in public life.

Opening up about her own emotional struggles, Regina revealed that her decision to marry Nwoko was deeply painful and nearly drove her to take her own life when her family initially opposed the union. She explained that her marriage was based on love and loyalty, not financial gain.

“I still care and respect him. That is love. The only reason I am not fighting you is that I want my children’s surname to be strong. They can answer mine,” she said, reflecting on her commitment to preserving peace for the sake of her family.

Regina emphasized that her priority now is the well-being and future of her children. While she no longer wishes to engage in public confrontations, she appealed for kindness toward her mother and urged the public to protect her family during this difficult period.
