The event, themed “Scaling Digital Payments: Tackling Infrastructure, Financial Proficiency, and Fraud for Inclusive Growth,” brought together leading innovators, policy experts, and financial technology stakeholders to explore the future of Nigeria’s digital payment ecosystem.
Representing the State Government, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Economy and MSMEs / Director-General, Enugu SME Center, Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, highlighted the transformational vision of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose administration is positioning Enugu as Nigeria’s foremost hub for innovation, financial inclusion, and digital transformation.
Under Dr. Mbah’s leadership, Enugu State is laying the foundational infrastructure for a digital-first economy—expanding broadband and payment systems, empowering MSMEs and nano-enterprises through financial literacy initiatives, and embedding trust through forward-looking policies such as the Enugu Startup Bill and the State MSME Database.
The State’s commitment to fostering a robust innovation ecosystem continues to attract partnerships, investments, and opportunities that drive inclusive growth and sustainable economic development.
