
The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has announced a statewide call for applications from qualified and experienced vendors to provide school feeding and cleaning services in Smart Green Schools across the 260 political wards of Enugu State.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to a statement issued by the Board, the recruitment exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen service delivery and improve learning conditions in public primary and junior secondary schools under the Smart Green School initiative.
The available opportunities include positions for School Feeding Vendors, who will be responsible for the provision of safe, hygienic, and nutritious meals to pupils, and Cleaning Service Vendors, who will handle sanitation and hygiene services within the schools.

ENSUBEB stated that applicants must have relevant experience in their chosen field and must be indigenes and residents of the political ward where the Smart School is located. The Board emphasized that only one application is permitted per applicant, warning that multiple submissions will result in automatic disqualification.
For school feeding vendors, additional requirements include experience in catering or school feeding services and medical fitness clearance for food-handling staff. Cleaning service vendors, on the other hand, must demonstrate experience in sanitation services, availability of trained personnel, and access to appropriate cleaning equipment.
Interested vendors are required to address their applications to the Executive Chairman of ENSUBEB and submit them either directly to the Board’s headquarters or via email at ensubebofficial@outlook.com on or before January 30, 2026.
The board further disclosed that only shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview, which is scheduled to hold on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the ENSUBEB Headquarters in Enugu.
The Executive Chairman of the Board, Assoc. Prof. Hyginus Banko Okibe, assured that the selection process would be transparent and in line with established guidelines, urging interested and qualified vendors to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to the success of the Smart Green School programme in the state.
