The Awkunanaw Clan Mega Rally, held in honour of the Executive Governor of Enugu State, H.E. Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, was a historic and remarkable gathering that drew thousands of supporters from across the state, particularly from the Awkunanaw Clan, spanning Enugu South and Nkanu West Local Government Areas.

The event was a grand spectacle, showcasing a vibrant convergence of political leaders, youths, traditional rulers, women groups, cultural dance troupes, and colourful masquerades. The atmosphere was electric, as the Awkunanaw Civic Centre, Akpasha, overflowed with enthusiastic supporters on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Proceedings commenced shortly after with a welcome address by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, who commended the people of Awkunanaw for their unity and active participation in the development of the state.

A major highlight of the rally was the address delivered by former President of the Senate, H.E. Senator Ken Nnamani, GCON. The Governor reiterated his administrationโ€™s commitment to delivering people-oriented projects, strengthening institutions, and creating opportunities that improve the quality of life for all residents. He assured the people that their trust would continue to inspire even greater dedication to service and accelerated development across the state.
