A fresh wave of political controversy has trailed a widely circulated voice note allegedly linked to Mr. Chinedu Onyeagba, popularly known as Omex Global, prompting a formal response from Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu (Omeiheukwu), who has firmly rejected the contents of the recording.

Obinna, the lawmaker described the allegations contained in the audio as baseless, misleading, and deliberately designed to misinform members of the public across Oji-River, Awgu, and Aninri Federal Constituency.
The statement noted that the attention of the lawmaker had been drawn to the viral recording, which has been making rounds on social media platforms and messaging groups, purportedly making unfounded claims against his person and public office.
Hon. Onwuegbu, through the statement, categorically denied the assertions, insisting that they bear no resemblance to facts on the ground and should be wholly disregarded by the public.
According to the release, the allegations are not only unsubstantiated but also appear to be part of a calculated attempt to undermine a leadership record that has continued to attract visible developmental impact across the constituency.
The statement further emphasized that Hon. Onwuegbu’s stewardship remains defined by measurable achievements in infrastructure development, human capital empowerment, and community-focused interventions that cut across various wards and communities within the federal constituency.
It read in part: “Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu remains firmly committed to effective representation and service delivery. His track record in office is verifiable and continues to reflect his dedication to the growth and development of his constituents.”
The media office also expressed concern over the growing trend of misinformation and unverified political content circulating within the public space, warning that such narratives have the capacity to distort public understanding and weaken constructive civic engagement.
It urged members of the public to exercise caution in the consumption and sharing of unverified claims, particularly those emanating from anonymous or unverified sources, noting that responsible communication remains critical to maintaining peace and stability within the constituency.
Reaffirming the lawmaker’s position, the statement called on constituents to remain focused on issues of development and governance rather than distractions driven by what it described as politically motivated propaganda.
It further appealed for continued unity and support, stressing that ongoing developmental efforts across Oji-River, Awgu, and Aninri Federal Constituency should not be derailed by misinformation or personal attacks.
The statement concluded by reiterating Hon. Onwuegbu’s commitment to inclusive leadership and sustained development across all communities within his constituency.
