The day’s activities began on an emotional note with a visit to Parklane Hospital, Enugu, where the First Lady supported new mothers through the distribution of essential baby items. Her presence brought smiles and comfort as she interacted personally with the women, offering words of encouragement and hope. The outreach extended to the Paediatrics Department, where she engaged with children and their caregivers, reflecting empathy and a strong commitment to healthcare advocacy.

The celebration later shifted to the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu, which became a rallying point for women leaders from across the state who gathered in her honour. The event showcased unity and solidarity, with attendees praising her as a woman of exceptional humanity, grace, and grassroots connection.

A notable highlight of the event was the symbolic leadership demonstrated by Mrs. Rita Edeh, wife of the Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Council, who led a delegation of wives of Local Government Chairmen from Igbo Eze South, Udi, Enugu East, Ezeagu, Enugu North, Oji River, Nkanu West, and Nsukka LGAs in celebrating the First Lady despite her absence.

In her address, Mrs. Edeh conveyed the group’s admiration and unwavering support, emphasizing that Mrs. Mbah’s impact transcends physical presence. She described the First Lady as a unifying figure whose initiatives continue to uplift women, families, and vulnerable groups across Enugu State. According to her, the gathering itself reflected the deep respect and affection the First Lady commands, adding that the wives of council chairmen remain committed to advancing her humanitarian vision.
