In a statement signed by its National Director of Media and Publicity, Comrade Anekeoku Franklin, the movement stated that its endorsement followed extensive consultations and evaluations of leaders based on competence, accessibility, integrity, and commitment to community development.

According to the group, the political direction of Enugu West Senatorial Zone must remain anchored on tested leadership and visible performance rather than empty political promises.

The movement announced its endorsement of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing the governor as a visionary leader whose developmental agenda continues to redefine governance and infrastructure delivery in Enugu State.

RG Municipal Movement noted that Governor Mbah’s economic transformation blueprint, including his drive toward building a $30 billion economy, demonstrates a practical understanding of governance, investment attraction, job creation, and modernization of public infrastructure.

The statement further emphasized that the governor’s policies and developmental initiatives are already extending to rural communities, creating opportunities for economic inclusion and sustainable growth across the state.

The group also reaffirmed its support for Osita Ngwu, commending his legislative contributions, grassroots accessibility, and empowerment initiatives targeted at youths and vulnerable groups within Enugu West Senatorial Zone.

According to the movement, Senator Ngwu has maintained close contact with constituents while facilitating interventions in education, healthcare, and community development projects across the district.

In the Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, the movement declared confidence in Anayo Onwuegbu, describing him as a dependable representative who understands the realities and developmental needs of the people.

The movement praised his efforts in attracting federal projects, supporting small businesses, and ensuring that the voice of Greater Awgu remains active and respected at the national level.

Similarly, RG Municipal Movement endorsed F.S.A. Uzor, highlighting his contributions toward educational advancement, youth development, and community infrastructure within Ezeagu and Udi Federal Constituency.

The movement described Dr. Uzor as a leader whose academic background and practical leadership style have enabled him to effectively connect policy implementation with grassroots realities.

Speaking further, the organization stated that RG Municipal Movement has evolved beyond a political support structure into a formidable grassroots network with coordinators and mobilizers spread across wards and communities in Ezeagu, Udi, Aninri, Awgu, and Oji River Local Government Areas.

The movement identified grassroots penetration, organizational discipline, and issue-based mobilization as the pillars of its strength, stressing that its support for political leaders is earned through measurable performance and responsiveness to the people.

It maintained that elections are ultimately decided at the grassroots level where community trust, accessibility, and sustained engagement matter most.

The statement concluded with a call on stakeholders, youths, women groups, community leaders, and party faithful across Enugu West to unite in support of leaders who have demonstrated genuine commitment to development and inclusive governance.

“These leaders have shown capacity, consistency, and commitment to the people. They have stood with the grassroots, and on their mandate, we shall stand,” the statement concluded.
