Hon. Onwuegbu acknowledged the critical roles fathers play as providers, mentors, protectors, and moral compass within the family structure, noting that their dedication often serves as the foundation upon which strong communities and future generations are built.
According to him, the significance of fatherhood extends beyond the home, as fathers contribute immensely to the social, economic, and moral development of society through their leadership, hard work, and selfless service.
The federal legislator urged fathers to remain steadfast in upholding the values of integrity, responsibility, discipline, and compassion, stressing that such virtues are essential for sustaining peaceful families and a progressive nation.
He further expressed appreciation for the sacrifices made daily by fathers in ensuring the well-being of their families despite prevailing challenges, describing their efforts as worthy of recognition and celebration.
