In a statement issued shortly after the announcement of the results, Ezeme expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct and outcome of the election, insisting that the process did not reflect the true wishes of the electorate.

The politician vowed to pursue all available legal avenues to challenge the result, assuring his supporters that he remains committed to seeking justice and ensuring that every legitimate vote is accounted for.

While expressing confidence in the judicial process, Ezeme urged his supporters and members of the public to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding as efforts are made to address the issues surrounding the election.

He emphasized the need for patience and restraint, stressing that democratic grievances should be resolved through constitutional and legal means rather than actions capable of undermining public peace.

The development signals the possibility of a legal battle over the Enugu North Senatorial seat, as political stakeholders continue to react to the outcome of the bye-election declared by INEC.
