The Mgbowo General Assembly, Lagos, has congratulated the traditional rulers, Ndi Nze, community leaders and the entire Ohaire Mgbowo on the successful completion of the Ikeji and Ifuahia celebrations, commending their collective efforts towards preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of the Mgbowo people.

The President-General of the association, Mazi Basil Egbo, conveyed the association’s warm congratulations and appreciation to His Royal Majesty, Igwe John Azubuike Ibeh (Ohabuenyi II), of Ekpulambo Mgbowo, and His Royal Majesty, Igwe Greg Ituma (Onyima II), of Ekpulato Mgbowo, for their leadership and commitment to the affairs and cultural preservation of the community.

Egbo equally appreciated the Ndi Nze Mgbowo, traditional institutions, community leaders and all sons and daughters of Mgbowo who contributed to the success of the celebrations.

He noted that the successful conclusion of the Ikeji and Ifuahia celebrations demonstrated the enduring strength of Mgbowo’s cultural identity, as well as the importance of unity and collective participation in preserving the customs and traditions handed down through generations.

The President-General stressed that cultural celebrations remain an important platform for reconnecting the people, strengthening communal bonds and passing the rich heritage of Mgbowo to younger generations.

As preparations intensify for the forthcoming Mgbowo Cultural Day, Egbo called on all sons and daughters of Mgbowo, both at home and in the diaspora, to unite and lend their support towards making the event a memorable and outstanding celebration.

He urged Mgbowo indigenes to see the Cultural Day not merely as a social gathering, but as an opportunity to showcase the community’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, hospitality and values to visitors and the wider society.

According to him, the success of the Cultural Day would depend largely on the collective commitment and participation of the people, stressing the need for individuals, families, community organisations and stakeholders to contribute towards the success of the event.

Egbo further called for continued cooperation among the traditional institutions, Ndi Nze, community leaders and the various groups within Mgbowo, noting that greater unity would contribute significantly to the development and progress of the community.

The President-General once again congratulated Igwe John Azubuike Ibeh (Ohabuenyi II), Igwe Greg Ituma (Onyima II), the Ndi Nze Mgbowo and the entire Ohaire Mgbowo on the successful Ikeji and Ifuahia celebrations.

He expressed optimism that the forthcoming Cultural Day would further strengthen the bonds of unity among Mgbowo people and provide a memorable platform for celebrating and promoting the community’s rich cultural heritage.
