The initiative comes against the backdrop of growing global investment in renewable energy, electric mobility, automation and other emerging green technologies, with the sector expected to create millions of new jobs worldwide.

Nigeria has also identified significant opportunities in the energy-transition sector, with more than US$23 billion in potential investment opportunities and the potential to generate up to 340,000 jobs by 2030.

Through EGTTA, successful applicants will receive a 75 per cent subsidy on their training fees, giving participants an opportunity to acquire practical technical skills that can position them for employment, freelancing or entrepreneurship.

The programme is an initiative of the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency, in partnership with Greenage Talent Hub and Capitis Global Ventures Limited.

The organisers said the programme is aimed at preparing participants for emerging industries and helping young people become active contributors to the rapidly evolving green and technology-driven economy.

Applications are currently open via www.enugusme.en.gov.ng/egtta.

For enquiries, applicants can call 08028545013 or 09128954467, or contact the programme via WhatsApp on 09169328543 or 09069200595. Enquiries can also be sent by email to info@enugusme.ng.

With the global economy increasingly shifting towards clean energy, electric mobility, smart technologies and automation, EGTTA offers participants an opportunity to prepare for the jobs and businesses of tomorrow.
