Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Three years into the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, the story of development in Enugu is increasingly being told through projects that are taking shape across communities and transforming the everyday experiences of citizens.

From education and healthcare to housing, agriculture, technology, urban development and sports, the administration has embarked on interventions aimed at addressing critical infrastructure gaps, improving human capital and creating an environment where citizens can live, learn, work, invest and thrive.
The assessment of these achievements is being driven through the Monitoring and Implementation Team of the Enugu State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner, Barr. Chris-Roberts Ozongwu. As Commissioner and the officer overseeing the Ministry’s monitoring and implementation function, Barr. Ozongwu provides leadership in tracking the implementation of government projects and programmes and ensuring that budgetary provisions and policy commitments translate into tangible development outcomes for the people of Enugu State.
As part of this assessment exercise, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Ebonyi State, Mrs. Deborah Okah, accompanied by a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Abuja, visited Enugu State to assess some of the major projects and achievements of the Dr. Peter Mbah administration within its first three years in office.
During the assessment visit, the delegation from the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Abuja, had the opportunity to see first-hand the scale and quality of infrastructure being delivered across Enugu State. The projects visited offered a striking picture of the depth of investment taking place in critical sectors and the extent to which government plans and budgetary commitments are being translated into visible development outcomes.
The delegation expressed satisfaction with the level of infrastructure witnessed across the various project sites, with the scale, diversity and progress of the interventions providing a compelling picture of Enugu’s ongoing transformation. From modern healthcare and educational facilities to housing, roads, agriculture, technology, sports and urban development, each project revealed a different dimension of the State’s development agenda.
What followed was more than a tour of construction sites; it was a journey through a changing Enugu—where plans are becoming projects, projects are becoming facilities, and facilities are being positioned to create real opportunities and improve the lives of citizens.
This report presents highlights of the assessment visit and provides a visual account of selected projects inspected by the delegation, focusing on their significance, current status and expected impact on the people of Enugu State.
