Adeleke made the declaration on Sunday while delivering his victory speech following his re-election as governor of Osun State.

The governor commended President Tinubu for what he described as his commitment to ensuring a free and fair governorship election in the state, noting that the President had demonstrated respect for the democratic process.

At the victory ceremony, Adeleke expressed appreciation to the President, describing him as “a son of Osun State” and using the occasion to reiterate his earlier endorsement of Tinubu for another term.

He said: “Mr President is a son of Osun State and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for second term in the 2027 presidential election.”

Adeleke also disclosed that President Tinubu had personally called to congratulate him on his electoral victory before the Independent National Electoral Commission formally announced the final result.

The governor’s renewed endorsement followed his victory in Saturday’s governorship election, where he defeated the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

According to the results announced by INEC, Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to emerge victorious, while Oyebamiji secured 444,815 votes. The African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, finished third with 17,180 votes.

Adeleke’s latest declaration further strengthens the political alignment between the Osun State governor and the Tinubu administration as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gradually intensify.
