ESLSSA Congratulates Mbah on University of East London Doctorate, Hails Commitment to Education, Good Governance

The leadership of the Enugu State Law School Students Association (ESLSSA), led by its National President, Comr. Donatus Okolieuwa, has congratulated the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on the conferment of a Doctorate of Law by the University of East London.

In a congratulatory message, Comr. Okolieuwa described the academic distinction as a significant recognition of Governor Mbah’s commitment to education, the rule of law, good governance and public service.

According to him, the honour goes beyond a personal academic achievement, describing it as an affirmation of the enduring values of learning, professionalism and ethical leadership which, he said, remain essential to the development of Enugu State and Nigeria.

The ESLSSA president also commended Governor Mbah for initiatives aimed at strengthening education and youth development, while calling on leaders across the country to place greater emphasis on mentorship, capacity building and the preparation of young people for leadership.

He noted that the international recognition of a Nigerian public office holder for academic excellence in legal scholarship would serve as an inspiration to students and young professionals, particularly those pursuing careers in law and public service.

Okolieuwa said such distinctions demonstrate the importance of continuous learning and intellectual development, urging young Nigerians to see education not merely as a means of securing employment, but as an instrument for meaningful contribution to national development.

While reiterating the association’s congratulations to the Governor, the ESLSSA president expressed hope that the new academic honour would further inspire greater commitment to service delivery, legal and institutional reforms, and policies that advance the welfare of the people of Enugu State.

He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to professionalism, discipline and legal advocacy, stressing its support for leadership that promotes justice, education and the common good.

“Congratulations once again to His Excellency, Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on this distinguished academic honour from the University of East London,” Okolieuwa said.
