Prof. Nnamchi Bags Core Legislative Iconic Lawmaker Award For Outstanding Performance

The Member representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prof. Paul Sunday Nnamchi, was today honored with the prestigious “Core Legislative Iconic Lawmaker Award” by the Centre for Nigerian Leadership Perspective, (CNLP)

The award, presented at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, was in recognition of his outstanding legislative performance, intellectual depth, and consistent contributions to lawmaking in the current 10th Assembly.

Presenting the award, the Director-General of the Centre, Royal Prince Celestine Igwe, who led a team of staff of the organization, described Hon. Prof. Nnamchi as one of the most impactful lawmakers in the House.

In his remarks, the NCLP boss stated
that he had never met Professor Nnamchi physically before his visit on Monday for the formal presentation of the award.

“As an organization, we track the performance of legislators scientifically and we have been doing such Since 1999 working closely with the office of the Clerk to the National Assembly.

“We maintain a database of all political and traditional leaders across the 36 states and Local Governments, though our movements across the country has in recent times been hampered by insecurity, we remain committed to this task.

“We believe the reward system is one of the ways to encourage leaders to do more. Since 2023, we have been tracking the performance of legislators based on sponsored bills, motions, debates, and constituency engagements.

Hon. Prof. Paul Nnamchi Prince stressed emerged as a Core Legislative Iconic Lawmaker as one of the most educated, and the best performed lawmaker from Enugu State.

Responding after receiving the award, Hon. Prof. Paul Sunday Nnamchi expressed gratitude to the Centre for Nigerian Leadership Perspective for the transparent and data-driven assessment.

He dedicated the award to the good people of Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, whose mandate and support continue to inspire his legislative work.

He noted that the recognition will further spur him to do more in sponsoring people-oriented bills, moving motions of urgent public importance, and attracting developmental projects to his constituency.

Hon. Prof. Nnamchi reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, effective lawmaking, and the advancement of education, youth empowerment, and national development.
