Aninwogbu Support Group Mobilises Votes for Ogbuekwe Ahead of Sept. 26 Poll

The Mike Aninwogbu Support Group for Mmiri Oma 2026 has reaffirmed its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in Nkanu East Local Government Area, Engr. Mike Chikosolu Ogbuekwe, ahead of Saturday’s September 26, 2026 local government election.

The group, in a statement on its mobilisation activities, pledged to intensify grassroots engagement and mobilise votes for Ogbuekwe as the campaign enters its final phase.

The declaration came as the Mmiri Oma Campaign Organisation concluded its ward-to-ward mobilisation tour in Nkerefi, Ogbuekwe’s home community, on Monday.

The group said its members had participated actively in the campaign from its early stages, with its convener, Hon. Mike Aninwogbu, joining the campaign train as it visited communities and wards across Nkanu East.

According to the group, Aninwogbu’s participation began even before the commencement of the main ward-to-ward campaign, as he and members of the support group took part in grassroots mobilisation and market sensitisation exercises across the local government.

The group said the activities provided an opportunity to engage residents directly, highlight what it described as the achievements of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, and canvass support for Ogbuekwe and other APC candidates in Saturday’s election.

It further said its continued involvement in the campaign was informed by its confidence in Ogbuekwe’s professional background, experience and understanding of the development needs of Nkanu East.

With the ward-to-ward campaign now concluded, the Aninwogbu Support Group said it would sustain its grassroots mobilisation and engagement across Nkanu East until the close of the electioneering period.

The mobilisation is part of the wider political activities in Enugu State ahead of the September 26 local government elections, with APC supporters and campaign groups stepping up community-level engagement across the state.
