He described their appointments as an opportunity to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to the development of their respective communities.
Dr. Onoh charged the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence and transparency, while engaging residents to identify their needs and promote sustainable development.
He also urged them to promote peace, unity and cooperation within their respective communities, noting that effective grassroots governance requires responsible leadership and collective commitment.
The chairman expressed confidence that the appointees would justify the confidence reposed in them and contribute positively to the development of Enugu North.
Dr. Onoh also reaffirmed his administration’s alignment with the development vision of Governor Peter Mbah, commending the governor’s commitment to good governance, institutional reforms and people-oriented development across Enugu State. He noted that effective collaboration between the state and local governments remains vital to translating government policies into tangible benefits for residents, particularly at the grassroots, and urged the appointees to support the governor’s vision through responsible leadership, accountability and effective service delivery.
Dr. Onoh reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening grassroots governance and improving residents’ welfare, while calling on community leaders and stakeholders to support development initiatives across the local government.
He wished the appointees a successful and impactful tenure, urging them to make accountability and service to the people the hallmarks of their leadership.
