Anayo Onwuegbu FNSE, has congratulated the newly appointed Development Centre Administrators and members, across Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency, urging them to make service to the people, accountability and grassroots development the priorities of their tenure.
Hon. Onwuegbu described their appointments as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of their respective communities, stressing the need for integrity, diligence and transparency in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He urged the appointees to remain accessible to the people, identify the needs of their communities and work closely with relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable development and improve residents’ welfare.
The federal lawmaker also called on them to promote peace, unity and cooperation, noting that effective grassroots governance requires responsible leadership, public accountability and a collective commitment to the common good.
He expressed confidence that the appointees would justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering tangible results and contributing positively to the development of their respective areas.
Onwuegbu further reaffirmed his support for the development vision of Governor Peter Mbah, commending the governor’s commitment to good governance, institutional reforms and people-oriented policies across Enugu State.
He emphasised the importance of collaboration between the state and local governments in translating government policies into meaningful benefits for residents, particularly at the grassroots, urging the appointees to align their efforts with the administration’s development agenda through effective leadership and service delivery.
The lawmaker reiterated his commitment to initiatives that advance development, strengthen governance and improve the welfare of constituents across Aninri, Awgu and Oji River Federal Constituency.
