
The Enugu State Government has received widespread commendation for the warm reception accorded to the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr. Hamid Bobboyi, and his team.

The UBEC team visited Enugu State on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, to inspect Smart School projects in the state. The team was received by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who showcased the state’s commitment to education and infrastructural development.

Assoc. Prof. Hyginus Banko Okibe, Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Mbah for the warm reception given to the UBEC team. Okibe praised the governor’s hospitality and commitment to education, noting that the visitors were impressed by the governor’s prioritization of education and infrastructural development in the state.

“The visitors came as doubting Thomases, saw facts on what Governor Peter Mbah has done and is still doing, and have come to believe that the works of the Governor are not a media campaign but are real, amazing, and thought-provoking,” Okibe said.

Okibe also thanked various stakeholders, including the Hon. Commissioners of Education and Works and Infrastructure, the Special Adviser to the Governor, and the Chairmen of STVSMB and PPSMB, among others, for their presence and support during the reception and tour of the Smart School projects.
The Enugu State Government’s commitment to education and development has been evident since Governor Mbah assumed office. The governor has prioritized investments in education, infrastructure, and human capital development, earning him accolades from various stakeholders.
