The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of Assumption Parish, Nkwo Nike, paid a thank-you visit to the Executive Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Area (LGA), Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike, at his office on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

The delegation, representing the entire women of the church, expressed their gratitude to the Mayor for his outstanding performance in just a few months in office. They specifically commended his educational support programs, including the payment of WAEC fees for over 1,700 SS3 students in the 13 public secondary schools in Enugu East LGA.
The women drew parallels between the Mayor’s leadership style and that of the Enugu State Governor, describing him as a “disruptive innovator” who is executing over a thousand projects in the state. They assured the Mayor of their prayers for the success of his administration and future endeavors.
As a token of appreciation, the women presented a gift to the Mayor. In response, Engr. Anike thanked the delegation for their encouragement, which he said would motivate him and his team to continue delivering exemplary service to the people.
The Mayor also took the opportunity to inform the women about other initiatives of the Local Government, including the Social Enterprise Support program for women. This program aims to empower women’s groups registered as cooperative societies.
