This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” emphasizes the need for collective efforts to achieve gender equality.

Ngene stated, “International Women’s Day celebrates women’s achievements, courage, and unwavering commitment to creating a more equal and just world. It serves as a reminder that women’s rights are human rights, and that equality is essential for a prosperous and peaceful world.”

NAWOJ Enugu saluted women who are breaking barriers, shattering glass ceilings, and pushing boundaries for their contributions. Ngene emphasized that women deserve to be valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

The organization called on governments, corporate organizations, businesses, and individuals to join them in creating a world where women and girls can thrive and reach their potential.
