
Nsukka Local Government Area Chairman, Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa KSJI, recently met with Nsukka Sports Club to discuss a potential partnership aimed at promoting community growth through sports development. The meeting, held at Adada House, Nsukka Local Government Council, was attended by notable members of the Nsukka Sports Club.

He emphasized his vision for leveraging sports to increase the local government’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), promote community development, unity, and social cohesion, while addressing youth restiveness.
The Nsukka Sports Club expressed willingness to collaborate with the local government in upgrading existing sports facilities to modern standards, enhancing revenue generation and providing health benefits to the community. Discussions focused on exploring opportunities for Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, which will contribute significantly to the Chairman’s 2025 project budget.
The local government has initiated negotiations with various stakeholders to develop projects benefiting the local government area. Partnerships with the state government have also been fostered to deliver projects in the local government area.
