In a public service announcement issued by the Ministry of Lands and Urban Development in collaboration with the Office of the Surveyor General, the government disclosed that it will implement a digitally secure, tamper-proof survey system across all government layouts. The affected areas include G.R.A., Golf Estate, Golf Annex, Independence Layout, Trans Ekulu, New Haven, and other designated layouts.

The Ministry explained that the exercise is part of the State’s broader Digital Land Transformation Programme, designed to enhance transparency and strengthen property security in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s vision of building a modern, investor-friendly Enugu.

The revalidation exercise will begin on August 21, 2025, and will run until February 16, 2026. During this period, all landowners and stakeholders in the affected layouts are required to visit designated offices to process their Digital Land Identity and secure their property rights for the future.

For enquiries, the government urged residents to contact the Office of the Surveyor General or the Ministry of Lands and Urban Development through the following dedicated lines: 0916 101 0179 and 0916 101 0168. Further information is also available on the official website: survey.enugustate.gov.ng.

The announcement was signed by Barr. Chimaobi Okorie, Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, on Friday, August 15, 2025.
