Traffic Advisory: Road Closures Announced in Enugu from August 25–30

Enugu residents and motorists have been advised to prepare for temporary road closures and diversions as traffic restrictions will be in effect from Monday, August 25, to Saturday, August 30, 2025.

According to the notice, Keke riders, commercial buses, and private vehicles will not be allowed access to some major entry points within the city during this period. The measure is expected to ease congestion and maintain order across strategic routes.

Alternative Routes Provided

Motorists are encouraged to make use of the following alternative routes, which will remain open throughout the restriction period:

1. Presidential Road till First Bank

2. Nkpokiti Junction to MSP to Uwani

3. Uwani to Timber to Maryland

4. ESBS to Monkey Junction

5. ESBS to Lomalinda

6. Agric Bank to Ike Ekweremmadu

7. Agric Bank to Independence Layout Police Station

8. Bisalla Road to Rangers Avenue Junction

9. Roban Stores Junction to Presidential Road

10. House of Assembly Quarters Road to Ogui Road

11. Obiagu Road

12. New Haven, Ogui Road, Abakiliki Road, Zik Avenue, Agbani Road

No-Entry Points for Keke Riders

The notice also emphasized that all Keke operators will be barred from the following locations during the period under review:

1. Sullivan Junction / Roban

2. Niger Foundation Junction to Rangers Avenue

3. Cubana Junction by Rangers Avenue

4. Nkpokiti Junction by Car Wash

5. IMT by SPAR Junction

6. ESBS Junction

7. Agric Bank Junction

8. Toscana Junction

9. All axis leading to Okpara Square

Authorities have urged all road users to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere strictly to the outlined traffic guidelines to avoid inconvenience.
