The initiative, which has already delivered over 15 solar-powered boreholes across different communities in Awgu, is designed to ensure sustainable access to clean and safe water for residents. The latest extension to Nenwenta has been described as a source of renewed hope for the people.

Speaking on the project, Hon. Okolo, popularly known for his “One Day, One Project” philosophy, restated his administration’s commitment to grassroots development. He also emphasized that his efforts are in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s vision of building a more inclusive and progressive Enugu State.

Residents of Nenwenta have commended the project, praising the Chairman’s focus on effective service delivery and his dedication to improving living standards in rural communities.

As the water project continues to expand to more communities, observers say the dream of an Awgu where essential services are accessible to all residents is gradually becoming a reality.
