Awgu PDP Reaffirms Unity, Strength at September Meeting

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Awgu Local Government Area has reaffirmed its commitment to unity, grassroots engagement, and inclusive governance after holding its September monthly meeting at the Awgu LGA Council Secretariat.

The meeting, which recorded a robust turnout of party loyalists and stakeholders, provided a platform to evaluate the party’s performance, strengthen structures, and chart strategies for upcoming political challenges.

In his opening remarks, the PDP Chairman in Awgu LGA, Hon. Kenechukwu Okolo, commended members for their loyalty and active participation in party affairs. He urged them to remain steadfast in upholding the core principles of the party.

“We must persist in upholding the principles of the PDP, unity, accountability, and service to the populace. I commend each ward executive and stakeholder for their contributions and urge everyone to remain resolute in our efforts to build a more robust Awgu,” Okolo said.

Representing the Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, the Deputy Chairman, Dr. Stanley Ezediuto Uchenna, delivered a goodwill message, assuring members of the council’s continuous support for PDP programs. He reiterated the local government’s readiness to work closely with the party leadership in delivering democratic dividends to the people.

Other notable figures present at the meeting included Hon. Uzochukwu Emeka (SPA Political), Hon. Ethelbeth Chukwu, Hon. Roseline Ude (Leader), and Hon. Prince Obidinanwa, among others.

Reports from all wards in the council highlighted the successful conduct of PDP ward meetings, further strengthening grassroots mobilization.

Highlights of the meeting included contributions from ward executives, youth leaders, women representatives, and former aspirants, all focused on reinforcing internal structures and preparing for future elections.

The PDP monthly meeting in Awgu LGA remains a cornerstone for party cohesion and advancement in the area.
