The federal lawmaker made this known on Sunday, September 14, 2025, during the annual diocesan Bible study conference of the Anglican Youth Fellowship (AYF), Oji River Diocese. The event, held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Umumba Ndi Uno, Ezeagu East Archdeaconry, was themed “My Help Comes from the Lord”.

Although Hon. Onwuegbu was unavoidably absent, he was ably represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Youths and Students, Udeh Michael Nwachukwunyere, alongside Hon. Emeka Umerah, former Secretary of Oji River Local Government.
Delivering his message, the representatives conveyed Onwuegbu’s deep conviction in the potential of young people to drive positive change. They highlighted his consistent record of partnering with the youth, creating platforms for growth, and championing initiatives that empower them socially, economically, and politically.

They further emphasized that the lawmaker remains committed to supporting the aspirations of young people, ensuring they play active roles in community development and nation-building.
