
The in has announced the venue and date for the physical and credentials screening of applicants who successfully completed the online application for the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police constables.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Command, , the Senior Police Officers’ Mess on Agbani Road, Enugu, has been designated as the official venue for the exercise.
The screening is scheduled to commence from March 9, 2026, and will run through April 18, 2026, with daily activities starting at 7:30 a.m. Only applicants of Enugu State origin who were successful in the online application stage are expected to participate.
Applicants have been directed to visit the recruitment portal https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to check their status and print the required documents, including the Invitation Slip, Application Submission Slip, and Credentials and Physical Screening Forms. These documents must be presented at the screening venue on the specific date and time stated on each applicant’s invitation slip.
In addition, candidates are required to present several supporting documents such as their National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the , O’Level certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, local government or state of origin certificate, and trade test certificates for specialist applicants. They must also submit a duly completed Guarantor’s Form with passport photographs and valid identification documents of their referees.
The Command advised applicants to arrange both the original and photocopies of their credentials in two separate white files, each attached with recent passport photographs. Candidates are also expected to appear at the venue dressed in clean white polo shirts or T-shirts and shorts, along with white stockings and canvas shoes.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, , urged all applicants to strictly comply with the rules guiding the screening process. He also warned them to avoid falling victim to job scammers, stressing that the recruitment exercise is completely free and does not require any payment.
CP Giwa further charged officers and other members of the screening team to maintain integrity, fairness, transparency, and professionalism throughout the exercise. He emphasized that any act capable of tarnishing the image of the Nigeria Police Force, the , or compromising the recruitment process would not be tolerated.
The police said the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the manpower of the force and ensure a transparent recruitment process nationwide.
